"When Helping Hurts and When Helping Helps"

We will look at various models of mission and outreach for the church, community and ourselves. What is Jesus' call to us in helping our neighbor? What is our motivation and what do we hope will happen? An example of these questions in our own lives might be our reaction to the people asking for help at street corners and freeway exits. Ask youselves, do I give? Will it help? Do I give a food bag/blessing bag instead of cash? What will they do with the money? Why do I or don't I give?
