Music at St Dunstan's

At St. Dunstan's we enjoy sharing the gift of music on Sunday mornings, at special services, and with our annual Concert Series.

Sunday Morning Music

A haven for all who love to make a joyful noise

Adult Choir

Rehearses September - May

St. Dunstan’s Choir provides musical leadership and offerings most weeks during the school year. The choir rehearses Thursday evenings to learn hymns, psalms, and anthems. Rehearsals aim to strengthen both individual musicianship and the skills of the group as a whole, with the added bonus of allowing us to pray as we learn anthems rooted in the Word. Paid section leaders provide a scaffolding for each choir section, and offer leadership and encouragement to help everyone learn. Rehearsal commitments are Thursdays from 7:00-8:30pm. All are welcome to join the choir — no experience necessary, just a willingness to commit to attending rehearsals and practicing regularly at home.

Parish Musicians

Share your Music

St. Dunstan’s is blessed to have many musicians in the congregation who enhance our worship by sharing their talents. From music rooted in the Classical tradition, all the way to Dixieland Jazz, our musicians offer energy and beauty in their offerings. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to share your music during a service, please contact our music director, Susanna Valleau.

Handbell Choir

Meets Occasionally

St. Dunstan’s Handbell Choir meets after church on Sunday mornings to work on exercises that help improve sightreading and handbell ringing technique, and learn anthems to share during Sunday services. The bell choir rings on a three-octave set of handbells, as well as a three-octave set of hand chimes, both by Schulmerich Bells. Reading music (in either the treble clef, bass clef, or both) is a prerequisite for joining the Handbell Choir. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the director of the Handbell Choir, Karin Rogers.

We acknowledge that we meet on the unceded, traditional land of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People, original stewards of the land, past and present. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe.
