"When We Lift From the Bottom, Everybody Rises"


Join us for a coffee hour conversation on the intersecting struggles of the poor—from unhoused people, to immigrants, to queer and trans people—and how Jesus offers us a blueprint for ministry led by folks at the bottom, for the transformation of the whole world.


Aaron Scott (he/him) serves as The Episcopal Church's first Gender Justice Staff Officer, supporting ministries of LGBTQ+ and women's justice churchwide. He has been an organizer with poor and working communities across the U.S. for twenty years. Prior to his current role Aaron was the cofounder of Chaplains on the Harbor, served on the National Steering Committee of the Poor People's Campaign, and worked at the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights & Social Justice.
